Workshop with Jana Runnalls
Sunday August 9th 2015 from 10.00 to 17.00 at Witton Gilbert Community Centre, Sacriston Lane, Witton Gilbert, Durham DH7 6TF.
This highly successful, enjoyable and inspiring workshop with Jana Runnalls from Glastonbury consisted of a morning of sacred Sanskrit mantra, followed by an afternoon of Shamanic drumming with Native American / other chants. Jana has been a huge inspiration to me for several years. She has a beautiful, powerful voice and she is a fine musician and composer. I use many of the chants she has composed and her arrangements of mantras and traditional chants in my monthly chanting group sessions. Her spiritual path reflects a lifetime of seeking and study. The workshop was fully booked with over twenty participants coming from far and wide. We all appreciated Jana's skill as a teacher, her music and her warm humour. Comments include:
"Awesome!" - A. (Willington)
"... soooo good." - A. (Eyemouth)
"What an amazing day!" - M. (Newcastle)
"I found it a very positive experience and the chanting had a profound effect on me." - W. (Durham)
"Just to say a big thank you for a great workshop. I really enjoyed it." - S. (Hull)
